The Judgment Is Now! How Output Awareness Can Change Your Life!

December 19, 2009

Everything we think, say or do creates a chain reaction which ripples out into all of existence- effecting who we become in the next moment, and indeed the very universe we live in. Each moment presents us with an opportunity to make a choice which sets off an endless series of events creating the next steps of the path ahead. Awareness of the power of our ‘output’ is the true secret of judgment- and understanding it allows us to gain control of our circumstances and judge our own lives with perfect balance. In this article, I’d like to explore with you the process of living in a chain of events, and offer you simple realizations to break ‘hard sentences’ and instead live in total freedom.

The Weightless Heart

In ancient Egyptian myth, the journey of the soul after death is quite different than what most of us are used to. Upon leaving the body, the soul enters the presence of Ma’at who is the Goddess personification of universal order. At this time, the heart of the soul is placed upon one side of a scale, while Ma’at’s own crown feather is placed upon the other side. If the heart is lighter than the feather, it continues to a perfected land. If, however, the heart is heavier than the feather, the jaws of a great cosmic beast hold the fate of the poor soul.

This myth explains a very powerful truth- that having a ‘light heart’ is the key to being fit for spiritual prowess. The heart who is heavy with guilt, resentment, fear, hatred and loss cannot conquer the test of Ma’at. The heart who processes things as they come in this life, keeps company only with the light things of life such as love, joy, forgiveness, compassion and spiritual progress moves on to something greater.

In this myth there is also a point missing which most of us are accustomed to- being judged by the Divine. Notice how Ma’at allows the heart to judge itself by its own weight. She only offers the ‘measure’ by which the heart can test its heaviness. This part of the myth holds a great key to understanding both spiritual enlightenment and the path of creation in this life- we are judge, jury, and executioner for ourselves at every single moment, and the choices we make effect ourselves and all else, in addition to right now and all time.

The Trial Of Living

At every moment throughout or lives, we are presented with a limitless pallet of options to choose from. We make conscious and personal decisions about how to think, what to say, what to do and how to view the world we live in. As we make each decision, we are in effect ruling a sentence for the rest of our path. Our choice to output love, peace and wisdom will foster a path which reflects the same to us. Decisions supporting violence, hatred, fear, and jealousy will only bring us more. Every decision we make is like a stone pebble tossed into the pond of our life- and the ripples it creates can be either a blessing or a curse!

The first step to creating a more empowered and just life is simply to meditate on the above truth and let it sink in. Taking individual accountability for the power of our actions is medicine which heals, breeds compassion, delivers wisdom and removes fear. As we practice awareness of what we output into the universe, we start catching the dark things we create and start replacing them with more positive ways of being. Our silent and almost robotic curses towards the person who cut us off in traffic, the crying baby in the grocery store line, or the delivery of bad news begins to shake us to the core, and we become dedicated to being a more positive creator of vibration and reality.

“Humata, Hukhta, Huveshta!” (think good, speak good, act good) ~Zoroastrian Axiom

Simply becoming aware of what we create from within gives us an often challenging look at who we really are right now, and why we attract the things we do. Knowing what we are creating allows us to start changing it- and replacing it with output more in line with who we really are and what we really want to the world we live in to be like.

“Be The Change You Wish To See In The World” ~Mahatama Ghandi

After we have had some time to contemplate the truth of what we create, we can start the adventure of recognizing how we are entirely responsible for what we are experiencing right now. The truth is that very few things happen ‘to us’, and most things happen ‘with us’. This means that although we may not be able to see the lighthouse in the fog at times, our previous actions had direct impact on creating what we now live. In Vedic wisdom, this process is just one of the four types of karma, and is called Kriyamana karma- The manifestation of karmic reflex which has been created in this life and will be experienced in this life. This type of karma also feeds in to Aagami Karma, which is the karma we are making now and will experience in other being existences. On top of that, we have two other forms of karma (Sanchita & Praarabdha) which we are working out at the same time we are creating more! We really do call the shots!

Posting Bail & Breaking Free

Up until now, many of us have been walking through life creating a mixture of positive and negative vibrational outputs. We start learning the truth of our power, and then become frustrated because we still have to shake off all the dark vibrations we created in the past (even if that was just ten seconds ago!). But don’t get too frustrated, because there is a way to break free of past debt, cleanse impurity and start living a better life right now and from here on out! It’s called love.

We spoke earlier about how love is so light that even the ostrich feather of Ma’at’s crown weighs more than it does. But the secret truth is that the lightness and subtlety of love makes it the most powerful vibration of all. Just like fluid water being able to carve solid stone over time, love can destroy the hardest patterns of toxicity and break the most dense obstacles. Getting love to work for you is not only simple- it’s imperative for a life of healing, empowerment, joy and spiritual progress!

The process is simple: start becoming aware as much as possible of your output. When you find it is in a negative form, replace it with something loving. In no time at all you’ll return to your natural state of being and act only as a beacon of light and blessing- and hold space for nothing less than that!

In example… If you think a hateful thought about someone regarding how they are stupid because they cannot do what you think they should be able to do, then…

Take accountability for your thought by calling yourself out on it. Apologize to yourself for acting in a way so degrading to your truth, and then immediately forgive yourself with love- this process puts the ego in check and brings the heart energy to the surface. Then, as quickly as possible, state something loving about the person with intention and power. In this case we could say, “I appreciate that so-and-so is so curious and detail oriented- I think it’s wonderful that they are always asking questions, wanting to learn more, and dedicated to doing things correctly!”.

This has to be true for you, and it needs to make sense for the situation. If you ever get stuck in the net of ego and can’t think of anything nice to output- simple honor the person as a human being who is dealing with their own history and paradigm. recognize that watching this person life in a 2-hour movie would probably shake you to your knees, and that you haven’t experienced any emotion or pain that they haven’t on some level. They are just human like you- and will be more if you love them instead of poison them. Send them love, ask silently for forgiveness (purifies the ego) and know it is now fair and balanced.

Moving Forward…

Give yourself permission to go through some intense healing and realization as you work with these practices. Let your true humanity show- don’t hide behind talents and strengths anymore just to conceal weaknesses. If we’re all going to figure this life of love thing out, we’re going to have to start sharing love and honoring life a whole lot more. Follow the words of Ghandiji as mentioned above and BE the change you want to see in the world. Love yourself right now, and choose to start on a journey of being a clear channel of pure love, wisdom, healing and empowerment in the lives of all who exist- simply by being a more yourself.

I give you permission to step up to a new way of being and become the savior of the unending moment of judgment for your path- and for all paths. Now just work to give yourself that permission and magic will happen!

Peace & Blessings On The Path Of Cosmic Love…

Contacting The Inner Guide

June 16, 2009

Do you ever wish you could have your own opinion about life… A fresh, personal perspective without the fears, ego, past hurts and future worries as part of the equation?

You can!

Contacting the spiritual guide within is a simple yet powerful meditation practice that I have created based on ancient Shamanic journeys, Vedic & Tantric rites and modern creative visualization techniques. This meditation has proven to be so powerful for my clients- I’d like to share it with all of you so that it might serve you the same way!

As in all meditation techniques:

  • find a quiet space and a quiet time to practice. Turn your cell phone off, let people around you know you’re taking some personal time, put on some comfy clothes and create space however you like- incense, candles, music, etc. can all help set the mood and charge the space.

The Guide Within

In this practice, we will be connecting to that part of ourselves that is beyond the attachgments of the physical plane. Although we may not connect directly to the center of our true soul being, we can connect to the part of ourselves that is the translator for our current and eternal selves.

The guide within is not an entity or being outside of who we are- indeed, it is more us than we think we are now. The guide within is our consciousness on the soul level rather than on the level of name and form (everyday life in this cycle). COnnecting to this power not only gives us amazing insight- it also trains us up to live more from our true identity as eternal spiritual souls and less from ego and fear.

The Goal

The goal in this practice is simply to connect to the inner guide, and create a space where dialogue can happen. We will not be entering a full-blown trance, because we need our linear/rational brain to stay somewhat present so that we can ask questions and receive/remember answers that have to do with our eg-based lives. If you find you are going too deep in this practice and start losing consciousness ( in a good way haha!), falling asleep or start having a hard time making thoughts- simply shake or dance a bit where you sit/stand to bring yourself ‘back’ a bit.

Ideally, we will connect, ask questions, receive guidance, return to normal waking consciousness and journal about the information we received- then promptly put it into action in our life!

The Practice

You may wish to begin with a prayer or affirmation. This is a great way to start a spiritual practice and not only gets you plugged in to the right headspace, but also brings sanctity, protection and blessings to you and your space.

  • Spend the first few minutes of the practice simply breathing. Shake out any nerves or ticks. Make sure you feel solid where you sit. Survey your body, make sure you’re comfortable and return to just breathing. A sitting ‘lotus style’ posture is both relaxing, lung-opening and stabilizing.
  • Once you feel that a deep relaxation has come, visualize a nine-step staircase flooded in light. Ascend slowly- one step at a time. Feel yourself walking up the nine steps one after the other. With each step you feel lighter, warmer, more open and more blissful.
  • As you reach the ninth step and step up to the landing- ensure you allow how the scene looks to be your own. Don;t judge or criticize… let the environment of everything you encounter be what it will and accept it as perfect.
  • Now, wherever the stairs took you, connect to being in the same sitting posture in your meditation you are in with your physical body. Sit, breathe, see, be.
  • Call forth in any way you choose that part of your being which knows all of your being. Call forth your inner guide- your soul. Allow a light to begin manifesting either at or above the crown of your head or in your heart center. Whichever happens is great as this is simply where you are most comfortable working. Don’t work with this practice in any other center of the body.
  • See the light come out of you and manifest before you… let it be what it is… a person? an animal? a symbol? Allow and believe.
  • Spend a few moments simply being in the presence of your perfected self- as though you are looking in the mirror. If you feel the urge to merge- do not do that until the third or fourth practice after information received has been implemented in your life with success.
  • Once you feel connected- speak. Don’t lie, hide, or sugarcoat… take this opportunity to be brutally honest with yourself and allow your heart center to purge with the chance to open and vent.
  • Ask a question, receive an answer. Again, do not second guess! What you hear is what you need to hear and it is perfect.
  • If you feel you are receiving answers that are not in line with Divine law or proper spiritual conduct- end the session immediately and try again another day.
  • Take as much time as you like asking, answering, discussing, seeing, receiving, experiencing and being. There is no hurry as there is no time on this plane.

Once you are ready to return…

  • Thank your perfected self and embrace or touch hands in some way to connect deeply.
  • Watch your perfected self re-enter where it manifested from (head or heart areas of your own body as seen in meditation).
  • Stand up and descend the stairs. Walk down slowly just as you came up. See yourself entering your life with a huge charge of light around you and a sense of peace and power in your heart. Once you get back…
  • Slowly start moving and flexing the physical body, gently open your eyes and spend a few minutes just sitting and being.
  • Journal about your experience as soon as is comfortable so you don’t forget anything. All symbols, feelings, etc. should be noted so that as you work this practice more often- you can find patterns and meaningful symbolism.
  • If you have any questions about this practice- don’t hesitate to email me!

Wishing you the best in spiritual advancement!

Map Of The Mind: Get Clear, Discover Hidden Wisdom & Manifest Your Goals Now!

June 8, 2009

Sometimes when we have a lot on our plate- it’s impossible to step back a really get in touch with how we feel, where we’re at or what we should do to fix a problem. It’s almost like the more we try to think and observe an issue, the more clouded and confused we become!

Imagine taking all of those thoughts, feelings, ideas, goals, fears, potentials, etc. right out of your brain and putting them into an image that allows you to view them from the outside and analyze them in a crystal clear way… you immediately step into the power position of being co-creator of your life and conductor of your own journey train!

I’d like to share a simple (and I think really fun!) technique with you that helps ground out all the thoughts and feelings going on inside you while helping you see ‘the big picture’ in your own emotional language.

Mind Maps have been used by top corporate leaders, marketers, life coaches and problem solvers for a long time. They seem to be coming back in popularity and I want to make sure you have access to a tool that’s about to become big! I’m giving this to you for free, from a spiritual source, with hopes that you” implement this technique into your own life!

Mind Maps offer you amazing clarity and guidance in any part of your life- and work wonders when trying to figure out subtle nuances of love relationships, finances, personal talents, new career path, personal goals, etc. I also love making them and adding them to prayer work or spiritual rituals as a talisman of empowerment!

Josh Williams

Getting Started

Find yourself a big piece of paper and a black fine point pen or pencil. Try to create the same type of atmosphere you would for meditation or prayer- no phones, conducive music, candles, incense, etc… anything that helps you calm, center, ground and connect! Honor this time as YOUR sacred time of communicating and creating a talisman of power directly from the center of your mind!

Most of creating your Mind Map will be based on the power of your left-brain; the center of logic, linear thinking, rational and analyzing. The secret to making the goals you set and truly digesting what you discover is by making your Mind Map magickal! Do this by adding colors, stickers, embellishments, etc. to your map once you have the general layout there- creative work engages the right-brain; center of intuition, creativity, cosmic thinking and ego control! Get WHOLE-istic!

Begin your Mind Map by defining what every part of it will reflect. Think of this as the root of a tree. If you are struggling with finances, put that it in the center. Relationship problems? Start there! The sample Mind Map used below is based on a relationship. The center focuses on the couple in question as the root of the tree.

Be positive and present in how you write or symbolize what’s in the center. Avoid using things like “Sickness”, “Loneliness”, etc. Remember that you are not only mapping what’s there, you are opening up a map of where to go- so be honest, but stay positive! Bring only realistic, heart-centered and potent energy into the map you create by choosing your words carefully. If you have a health issue for the center, try using “HEALTH” or “HEALING” as the core instead of “SICK” or “ILLNESS”. Change any negative into its potential positive. Fore more guidance about the power of words and how to harness it- check out my article on the subject by clicking HERE.

Starting from the center, start making new sections around it that define the most important issues regarding the center. The center holds space for the main issue or idea in question.

In my example below (pardon the really terrible graphics haha!), the main branches are “healing options”, “how I feel”, “Dead Ends” and”Life Changes”. Do what works for you in your own language- based solely on what’s important and realistic for YOU!

From your main branches, you’ll now start getting even more specific about each topic. You may have a main branch that says “Options”, and from that you” start making offshoots about the options… for financial issues you may offshoot from the “options” branch with ideas like “new job”, “ask for raise”, “see a financial consultant”, “debt consolidation”, “better relationship with money power”, etc.

From there, the potential is endless. Keep making little offshoots until you feel the ideas and feelings you have about any one part of the map are represented.

My example below shows how the Mind Map progressed with offshoots. Spend a few minutes studying this and see how:

  • My example had to reconcile what has NOT worked in the past- and let go of it.
  • My example realized that some options were present in a few paces on the map- giving them extra power!
  • My example is being accountable for their own healing.
  • Direct connection with a plan, some ideals, a reality check and total honesty and accountability about healing!

Mind Maps really are a moving meditation- and a deep look within! Remember to be completely honest with yourself and remember that what you write may become a reality!

Peace & Blessings!
